Escape goats. Mute points. Doggy dog worlds. Every day seemed to bring a fresh assault on perfectly serviceable idioms and expressions.<\/p><p>To be clear, none of this is particularly important.<\/p><p>The world will continue to function whether someone says \"for all intensive purposes\" or \"for all intents and purposes.\"<\/p><p>But it does itch a particular part of my brain.<\/p><p>Mind the Misconception began as a way to celebrate those little mistakes rather than complain about them. The goal isn't to mock anyone. Most of these misconceptions exist because the incorrect version sounds perfectly reasonable.<\/p><p>After all, if you've never encountered a squib, why wouldn't you assume the phrase involves a squid?<\/p><p>So this shop is my small attempt to document these linguistic curiosities.
